CAMARILLO, Calif

With a portion of the proceeds earmarked for New York City and Washington, D.C. disaster relief efforts, Abel Quality Products will produce three styles of patriotic red, white and blue fly reels, announced Steve Abel.

Abel will custom produce Old Glory, a realistic portrayal of the American flag; Stars and Stripes, an abstract impression of the flag; and a Red, White and Blue camo coral interpretation.

The colors can be added to any Abel reel except ported models.

Cost for the Red, White and Blue camo coral version is $100 over the price of the reel. Prices for Old Glory and Stars and Stripes are $200 over the cost of a standard reel.

The reels are being produced in an extremely limited collector's edition run, according to Abel.

Abel Quality Products is contributing 6 patriotic Red, White & Blue or American Flag anodized reels to an on-line auction being conducted by the Virtual Fly Shop. 100% of the proceeds is going to the American Red Cross to benefit victims of the 9/11 terrorist attack.
